Withdrawal Policy
1. Introduction
"Accounting & Management Research Review" (AMRR) is committed to publishing high-quality research in the fields of accounting, finance, and management. To ensure fairness and transparency, AMRR has established a clear withdrawal policy for manuscripts submitted to the journal. This policy outlines the circumstances under which authors may withdraw their manuscript and the consequences of doing so.
2. Grounds for Withdrawal
Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any time before the final decision is made by the editor-in-chief. Some valid reasons for withdrawal include:
- Identification of significant errors or flaws in the manuscript: If authors discover substantial errors or flaws in their research or analysis after submission, they may choose to withdraw the manuscript for revision and resubmission at a later date.
- Change in research direction or focus: If the authors' research direction or focus has changed significantly since submission, they may choose to withdraw the manuscript and submit it to a more appropriate journal.
- Ethical concerns: If the authors become aware of any ethical concerns related to their research, such as plagiarism or data fabrication, they should immediately withdraw the manuscript.
- Duplicate submission: If the manuscript has been submitted to another journal concurrently, the authors should withdraw it from AMRR to avoid ethical issues.
3. Procedure for Withdrawal
To withdraw a manuscript, authors must submit a formal written request to the editorial office, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal. The request should be sent via email to [email protected]
4. Consequences of Withdrawal
- Before peer review: If a manuscript is withdrawn before peer review begins, there are no consequences for the authors. They can resubmit the revised manuscript to AMRR at any time.
- After peer review begins: If a manuscript is withdrawn after peer review has begun, the authors will be informed of the reviewers' comments. These comments may be helpful for revising the manuscript for submission to another journal. However, the authors will not be able to resubmit the same manuscript to AMRR.
- After acceptance: If a manuscript is withdrawn after it has been accepted for publication, the authors will be responsible for any costs incurred by the journal, such as copyediting and typesetting fees. Additionally, the manuscript may not be considered for publication in AMRR in the future.
